Creating a Search
Searches are run from the Search window on the main Review screen.
Enter the search criteria in the Document text search window and click Search to run the search. Note: You can enter multiple terms and also use Boolean terminology such as AND, OR, NOT or W/proximity if you wish.
The search results appear in the main window.
Searching Body Text or Metadata
Document text searches will run against the document text only.
Searching Document text only is the default and allows boolean and complex searches such as proximity searches and fuzzy searches.
Searching the Metadata text utilizes the SQL (Structured Query Language database) table behind the scenes and supports Single Term, Phrase, OR, AND, and NOT operators. It does not support other Boolean, proximity, or wildcards operators.
You can quickly replicate a particular Document Text search to query Metadata text by using the clone button and switching the target of your query.
Note
Searching both metadata and text together should be done with caution as metadata searches do not support all the same searching methods as searching the textual body of the document. Boolean terminology and wildcards can be used searching the body of the documents. Proximity searches do not work when querying metadata.
Additional Search Options
Additional search options such as including Family members, Duplicates, Near duplicates, and Email threads can be included.
