Refining Search History

Often you will run a search and then want to adjust the parameters or add conditions. You can reference a previous search by its unique number (!###) and add further conditions, but if you want to adjust a value editing the previous search is best.

Reveal will retain the prior search in its Refine Search window until a new search is run or a user logs out. If you want to edit an earlier search, however, you must open Search History in the Refine Search window.

Once in search history, select the search you wish to revise. Note that when you select the search its syntax and other information appear at the bottom of the screen with the added option to Refine search.

Clicking Refine search opens a fresh Refine Search window with the current search syntax available for revision.
